LEDA IS INSPIRED BY ISAMU NOGUCHI’S WORK OF THE SAME NAME, AN ANNULAR ALABASTER SCULPTURE MADE IN 1942. IT WAS ONE OF THE FIRST PIECES HE CREATED WHILE BACK HOME IN GREENWICH VILLAGE, AFTER HIS INTERNMENT IN ARIZONA.
LEDA MEANS JOY AND HAPPINESS IN GREEK.
